    Re: Disappearing posts (ShaftDilbert)

I had a post deleted. I just wanted to know what are the most common problems with an E-TEC!!!!!! I am seriously considering getting one, but I would like to have a general consensus of what the major problems are, but it got erased.

I don't think you'll find that there are very many problems with the E-Tecs but I'd be interested in knowing what you posted Nick.

Did you post a model and serial number like the rules at the top ask for?

Do an E-TEC search on this site and you will have reading material for hours. Just filter out the BS, the bashers, and the trolls, then you will have comments from many happy owners over the last 4 years. You will also find that the few with problems had them fixed quickely and that many times it was not the engine's fault.

Since both Evinrude E-TEC and OptiMax (your motor) both won the JD Power customer satisfaction report this year, you have nothing to worry about if you are actually going to purchase an E-TEC.

And how does a 15 year old afford to buy an E-Tec anyways?

It really doesn't matter how he is going to acquire one does it?

Nick is on the Legend sponsored team and should be considered a serious boat owner and fisherman. Not a 15 year old asking meaningless questions.

Be open minded and ask honest Questions. The Men monitoring these boards have done an unbelievable job sticking to the integrity of true sportsmenship.
Every deleted post is subject to questioning, But out of respect and knowing that these men use proper judgement in our best interest, lets leave it at that.

    Re: Disappearing posts (Bassmeister)

I was watching a post that started in April about a guy with a miss problem on a 60 hp E-Tec and I can't find it. I too have a 60 E-Tec, hence the intrest.
