Replacing step up seat on 2100.

I'd like to replace the 'step up' console in my 2100 with the 3rd seat option. . . . before I begin is it as easy as unscrewing the visible knobs or am I getting into the more complex task of removing the gas tank to get access to screws in the back of the seat . . . . . . and more complications?? Thanks to all!

it as easy as removing the visible screws, and lifting up on the step....
