depends generally that would be a city job. And might include state benefits and retirement. If the money isn't an issue then how valuable it you time to you?

What do you have for a current retirement package? You have to think about the future. If you can retire in just 3 years w/ a benifit package, you can pick up another part time job and supplement your income. Ste job with benifits can really sway someone away. I'd take the state job unless I thought I'd be too bored with it. I have to stay busy or my days get waaaaaay too long.

Life's about change. I was in a similar situation with my job 5 years ago. I took a job that allowed me to fish more. I switched to a week on, week off schedule. Three years later I am a bass pro and now I don't need any job but fishing. This unbelievable dream wouldn't have happened if I didn't make a change. Change's lead to opportunities. Opportunities that wouldn't exist if you settle for the status quo.

Vince, its not always greener on the other side of the fence, every job has its BS. Things you should consider are health care for you and your's, and what do they do towards retirement, not just time off. No one want's to think about retirement until its to late. Now that I'm retired I see so many friends that will have to either work until they drop or will just scrape by because of little planning. If you would be happier driving fine, then take that "what ever time" and think about how can I do even better. Hang in there my friend, it will all work out for you.
