Gambler livewell help and recommendations please

I've got to do something about my livewells. I am losing too many fish lately. I am looking to replace all pumps and pipe work.....is there a "kit" I can buy that will include the pumps and pipes? My pipes are not producing many bubbles in the wells at all.....sometimes it just looks like water is pumping in but there are no bubbles whatsoever. Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

I am not sure whitch boat you have. I have a 2100, it has a aur inlet under the lid of the small compartment behind the livewell lid. Make sure it is not clogged up. I use rejuvinate, and rarely have fish die.

I've got a 92 206TE. Has 2 pumps per well. Nothing is clogged, thats the first thing I checked. I use Please Release Me additive but with no air bubbles it doesnt do much.

Sounds like you are over filling the livewell. Keep water level at least two inches below the aerator inlet, this allows the incoming water to pick up oxygen as it enters the livewell. I had the same problem you are having happen to me when I unknowingly filled my livewell over the inlet port. I have not lost any fish since then by keeping the water level below the inlet port. Before you change any parts try this, it should work.

good advice JOE, and welcome to the boards!!!
yep, iv'e also noticed you need to keep the livewell about 1/2 to 3/4 full to get the best cerculation!!!

On my 96 Intimidator I installed the Oxygenator Pro Livewell flush mount BKM-3. I also change out the water 1-2 times using the Flowrite pump out system that was very inexpensive and easy to install. I still use the aerators to move the water around. Since the addition of the Oxygenator I didn't lost a single fish this past summer, and we all know how hot the surface water temps can be in Central FL. If the price concerns you then compare it to all the dollars spent on catching the fish as opposed to keeping them alive. Not to mention loosing a tournament because of a dead fish. Also take a look at all the boat manufactures that are starting to use this very system in there boats. The list is growing. If anyone is interested in the Oxygenator contact Matt Peters at 952-881-1330

I hear that if you use an Oxygenator system that you are not supposed to use any livewell additives (Rejuvenade, Release Me etc...) because the Oxygenator pumps out pure oxygen and will clash with the additives and create a gas that will kill everything in the livewell.

    Anybody know anything about that?

    Re: (fivebasslimit)

That is correct. Using livewell additives that contain salt cause The Oxygenator to create chlorine, under the same principal of which a chlorine generator works on a swimming pool. However with the increased oxygen levels created from The Oxygenator you may find it not as necessary to use additives. For anglers who want to use additives to reduce fish stress O2 Marine Technologies has also developed an additive called U2 Pro formula that works with The Oxygenator. This liquid formula is easy to use and treats 30 gallons with just 1/2 ounce. No more green fingers or a chemical scum line in your livewell. Visit there website for more info.
