AC/delco.out of the 3 original batteries I still have 2 left.
That is amazing. These Delco batteries came in my boat when I got it new in May 2006. The 3 trolling motor batteries are good, but the cranking battery appears to be shot. Will not hold a charge.
I recently had to replace a delco in mine I went with a blue optimi GP 31 for my cranking battery.

And what kind og batteries do you use?![]()

Delco's on the trolling motor and an Interstate on the cranking.
Trojan batteries are some of the best batteries i have come across warranty wise and durability wise. Matter of fact i have two optimas that collect dust in the garage. With Trojans I have fished two day tournaments forgot to charge both days. got home and recharged in less than 4 hours. they are pricey but an excellent tool if you have a problem with staying on the water all the time. Never have had one problem cranking up after camping out on a spot all day.

I have had all Delco in several of the boats and now I have all Optima. Quite honestly, I don't see the big difference between the two. I often think the Delco last longer for the trolling motor. They say the Optima are much lighter. Haven't really seen huge speed differences with them either.![]()
But people seem to be very happy when buying the boats to see the Optima in there. I just know there is a HUGE price difference in the two.
AC Delcos ahve a 18 month replacement warranty.
I have all AC Delcos, two of my T motor batteries are from 2001 that came with my 2001 hull.

I've had pretty good luck with my Interstates; not as costly and reliable. m
