Prop for a 250XB? Plus trim tabs

The boat I am buying is 2100DC W/ 250 XB. I beileve it has a 26 trophy on it know. Not sure though. I know that you guys tested alot of props a couple of years ago. (LD, AL, ETC.) Which prop was the overall best. I have two brand new 25 tempest for the old motor that I will probly need to get rid of. Also the guy has taken the trim tabs off. Said he was bending them on Stumps and breaking them. (Who knows?) Who makes the tabs. Can you order them? Or will I be alright without them. I fish alot of skinny water with tons of stumps and logs. I dont want them to be an issue when it is time to get back to the ramp. Sorry this was so long winded. Just ready to get back in the driver seat of a "G" boat. Thanks in advance for any help.

the 27 trophy would be a safe pick....i ran a 29 t-1 yammie on mine...probably needed to be a 28...the xb needs to turn up in the high end of the rpm range....6200 or so...i also had the cowling mod done on mine...good for a couple hundred rpm....scrap the 26 trophy....at least go get a 27 if you run that prop... i fish rodman... and i never have had a tab problem...how did he seal the holes for the rams?????? i would replace them... but it wont be cheap....

Hydromotive Quad IV X O/B in a 28P or 29P even would work well too.. Hydro's seem to run a little shallow on the pitch reason I say a 28 or 29P. My 27P really works out more like a 26P.. I run a 28P Lab finsihed tho that seems to be right on...
