    omc trolling motor info needed

    Hey Guys,

    This electric was a 25 dollar yard sale gem but I don't know the specs on what I got. Is it worth putting on my 350v Ranger it seems to work alright.

    Particulars
    Model - BFL45 (S?)
    Serial - H 279504B
    24VDC Hong Kong?????? assume this is a 24 volt troller?????

    Will this have the uummff to move this rig, she aint no light weight!

    in general they are great little trolling motors.

    Not sure what lbs that model is but it's at least 45 I'd think. The model # is most likely BF4S . these were made in the mid 90s and it's 24volts


    frankly not many made these days as well as the older OMC trolling motors

    if it works use it.


    find yourself a good service manual off ebay and you're set

    I agree. I just put my one on my old tracker. I think they're a great little motor.
    Especially if you get the one with the bigger motor on it. This is the 3rd or 4th one of
    these I have owned. I keep going back to them for some reason.

    only issue with that one is I think it's a 36" shaft verses the 42s they also made. if it will work then go for it
