Found Two Unconnected Wires in my battery Compartment

I was changing out all of the hoses and pumps for my live well system when I discovered 2 wires (1 Orange, 1 Brown) that were not connected to anything. I have a 2000 225 EFI. I checked the Merc Manual and it describes the Orange and Brown wire as connections for the Anode Electrode MerCathode System. Can anyone tell me where they wires get connected. I disconnected my 4 batteries to do the work I needed and I am pretty sure that these wires were not connected to any battery...but I might be wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Re: Found Two Unconnected Wires in my battery Compartment (Fat Basser)

I checked the Merc site again and the ABYC recommended colors show Orange as an accessory feed and brown for pumps. I have 2 bilge pumps...one hooked to an automatic float. The pump hooked to the float was not working so I am now hoping that the loose brown traces back to the float. If the Orange is for an accessory feed, is it feasible that the Orange and brown are suppose to be connected? I just don't want to short something out as I have had my battery compartment torn apart for the last two weeks to replace all of my live well pumps, hoses and valves.

    Any help would be appreciated
