    250 HO, Why not?

I'm sure I'm the very first to ask this

I know a lot of guys on the board joke about the release of said motor, and as far as I know there is no plan by BRP to do so, but I can't figure out for the life of me why that's the case?

The high end bass boat market is a bit of a pi$$ing contest, and everybody (me included) wants the biggest, baddest, fastest rig. So why not take andvantage of that? What's the logic?

    Rusty, care to comment?

    That's useful...

Actually, a 300 HO would be nice for the rigs that would accomodate them. I just don't see BRP not wanting to take a bigger bite out of the 250 market.

If they sold a 245HO I would be all over that. Maybe they could build a one off just for me...(My max HP rating is 245 on the plate)

Just be patient....Before the release of any new model BRP wants to make sure that the warehouses are stocked and units are ready to roll when it is debuted.

IF A bigger HO is in the works we will not hear about it until it starts shipping.

Re: 250 HO, Why not? (cast1)

Took the boat in to the dealer today to have some minor issues fixed before my vaca starts next weekend, we got to talking about Evinrude needing to build and market a 250HO. He said they were going to release it around Aug or so, was in reliability testing now.

Time will tell if it is true or not......

Liquid, your reply is confusing. So, is that a 250HO or stock 250??

    Thanks

Looks like they should have stuck with the 225HO. They're down 20 laps after 2 hours.

Looks like the E-tecs are out of the fight.

Reports are that BRP can't make a gearcase to last under the awsome torque of the 250HO.

9 gearcases broke and only two left to race with.

Yep, too much torque, much more than a BLACK XS motor can make. Much harder to make lots of torque and power than a heavier gearcase, LOL!!!
