What would the hull weight be on a 1995 Cobra 201D? Thanks, Jim

I told a guy yesterday that I thought it weighed 1400 and he said that was too much. Guess I was right. Thanks for the info Larry. Jim

The 201D Coosa is about 125# lighter but they didn't make a Coosa back in 1995.

Re: Question for Backlash (Backlash Ar)

Well, whatever it is, you get to add 30 lbs for the stripper you caught out of that boat. Still have the record for the largest bass caught out of a Cobra don't you?

I hope to add to the weight of my boat this year, about 10 lbs at a time, but will settle for additions of 2-5 lbs at a time in a tournament.

Serious question, what is a guess of the weight fully loaded with trailer? Not necessarily a full tank of gas, but batteries, engine, trolling motor, tackle etc. Iam guessing the boat with a load to be about 24-2500 lbs, but really didn't know what value to put on the trailer.

Re: Question for Backlash (Tx 201)

Chris...I'll call Easy Loader in Midway, AR tomorrow and find out what their trailer for a 201 Cobra weighs. My guess would be that a tandem axle trailer weighs about 1100 lbs but I could be way off.

Re: Question for Backlash (Backlash Ar)

This looks like a "stump the genious" thread. What about a 95 188dc with a bald midget, way too much tackle, no fish, tears running down his chubby face, a twelve pack of pepsi, a hoagie and his fat brother??

    Re: Question for Backlash (skeeterbutch)

Butch...a weight reduction in the boat will automatically take place because the hoagie will be eliminated by a call of nature and the 12 pack of Pepsi will be excreted through the human hose so everything was Ok until you mentioned your "fat" brother...that could be trouble. You are definitely over the posted load limit for your boat. Cobra's are made tough but there's limits to everything...and as he has pointed out on several ocassions, too bad you haven't caught yours in awhile. Now stop sniffing that ethanol and go out and drill another hole in the ice.

    Re: Question for Backlash (TXSERPENT)

It will say if Coosa was used on the transom area. I believe the first Coosa was built in 2000 and was $1,000 more than the "regular" Cobra.
