All you Mt. Home people OK, I hope???

I hope the storms the other day didn't hurt anyone, or their homes or boats either.
My heart goes out to all who suffered losses.

Alan...one scary and nasty night that's for sure! The tornado left a path 150 yds wide (1 1/2 football fields) and was a mile long and it went right through the middle of Gassville killing 1 person and injuring 30 others. Over 200 homes received damage with 75 of them totally destroyed. Business were also leveled to the ground. After the devastation it left in Gassville (@5 miles from Mtn Home) it headed toward Mtn Home but miraculously veered off to the Southwest and just missed us. We got some pretty high winds with only minimal wind damage. Thanks for your concern!

Here's a video of the tornado:

I you love fishing in 100 ft of water for suspended fish then Mt. Home is your place. Though in April and Nov. when the fish are more accessible it is normal for a twenty pound bag. Most of the time though 12-15 is a winner.

Larry your not lying about 150 ft. I remember catching smallmouth in treetops at 70 feet deep, but the water depth was over 100. That lake would you make you think twice about what deep really is. Although if you ever get tired of crazy bull shoals. I love floating the buffalo for smallies. It is actually a place I don't mind putting up the legend for a day and paddling for a while. I actually am getting some folks together and were going to get a cabin on Norfork for a week in August or Sept. We should put together an Ozark fish off and see who really has the best fishing boat. We could do a Ranger vs. Legend vs BassCat vs. Cobra. And might as well throw in Champion too. I think Legend has a clear advantage but than again I'm a little partial

Bryan..Better plan on doing some night fishing then...just a bit hot & humid during that time of the year. I usually try and get out for the early morning bite around 5 a.m. but by 9a.m. you better be off the water unless you plan on being an advertisement for Red Lobster.
