Quciksilver 3000 remote control

Recently my remote control (throttle lever) on my 1999 180 Cobra started giving me problems. The button on the lever that disengages the gear for neutral throttle will not work when pressed in (basicly if I push it in I cant start the motor when the lever is forword). I am 100% positive that the remote control is the problem but can this be fixed with a rebuilt kit if any? Who makes the remote control? Most importantly what model number came with this boat?
