    Bass Master Classic 2005

    This message/question is for Ed:

Believe me that I am not trying to stir up trouble when I ask this, but I was quite amazed and disappointed that at the 35th BassMaster Classic there were no Cobra's shown at the Expo. I know that Pittsburgh is a far distance from Mountain Home, Ar., but without dealer representation in the Northeast, how are folks up here supposed to see and inspect the quality of the fine product offering Venom has, if the boats are not present at the shows. There was 6 or 7 other major boat mfg.'s at the Expo, but no Cobra's that we could walk around the show and boast about. I wore my Cobra shirt one day and met two young anglers on the Cobra Strike Team from KY., but no boats. In an effort to sell and distribute more Cobra's, we need to be able to show the potential buyers what these boats are all about and how they compare to the competition. Just my 2 cents!

I agree with you, it would have been great for us to be able to make the Classic. Please bare in mind that we have only been building boats since October, finding dealers is not something easy to accomplish. The old boat company didn't get a group of dealers for almost five years. It has to be grown, we are talking with different dealers but it will take time. It is kind of like that old saying, you have to walk before you can run, I wish we could accomplish it faster, but we are making every endeavor to get it all accomplished.

    Regards

I almost forgot, I am really glad you got to meet the Weber boys, they are to great young men. In talking with a friend of mine, Preson Clark, he also had the chance to talk with them, told me they were really well mannered.

    Regards

    Ed,

Yes I met the Weber boys as well as their parents. They actually approached me first from wearing my Cobra shirt one day at the Classic. These young men were also on national TV ( ESPN ) with their Cobra shirts on during the broadcast from the weigh in arena. I understand about dealership networks and the time it takes to set up. Thanks for explaining and keep up the great work!!
