I would have to check NADA but a lot of it will have to do with the condition of the boat and motor.

thanks I think I might go look at the boat today. Its about a 2 and 1/2 hour drive. I wounder if parts are hard to get for a 96? I bet they are. Hmmm The only thing I really don't like is that it doesn't have a dual console.

It all just depends on what you are looking for. Most things can be upgraded with new items if you have a problem. Usually issues come up with outboards not the boat itself.

i doubt that, charger will either have em or provide you with the alternative, and once you fished out of a single youll never want a dual again

Good Luck! Let us know how it turns out. At that price it sounds like a decent deal, as long as everything checks out.

    Re: (Tommy13)

Well bass pro in columbia checked the boat out today and said that the compression test went well and the lower unit didn't leak. I'm going to run the boat this week or next. The guy wants to run it on the missouri river to test it . I'm a little nervous about that, with the current and all. Is there any lakes close to columbia? Does any body know what kinda rpms it should idle at? 225 mercury efi 1996. What kinda speed can i expect from this boat again its a 495 vf is there any thing I should look for ?

I just saw your boat over at Bass Pro- I wondered what a Charger was doing on their lot- looks like a sound boat. The closest place I would take it is to the Osage River on Highway 50/63 about 12 miles east of Jefferson City at the Conservation ramp. There should be enough water. Otherwise, Coffman Access at the Lake of the Ozarks is just a little farther distance. RZ

If it is setup correctly you should see upper 60s I would think. Check the pumps, gauges, switches and such. Not sure on idle speed. Check with Don over on the Mercury board.
