    162 v leak

I have developed a leak in a 162 v that seems to be comming from the front. I cant see anything wrong with the hull and have not hit anything. I am guessing eithor livewell drain hose or fill hose. I bought plugs for the two drains holes at the back of the boat to eliminate one or the other but have not been back to the water yet. I am guessing there is a Y in the hose going to each livewell from the pump? Any ideas appreciated! Is it a pain to fix?

you did not mention what year model your boat is.My 89 195 has very thin abs plastic livewells, backed by plywood .Over the course of time mine developed hair line cracks(inside the livewells) that were very hard too see. I used Hippo patches and marine goop to seal mine about 1 1/2 years ago and no leaks yet.it might be important to note that I do not use my livewells very often, maybe only 3 or 4 times a year.

This boat is also an 89. I'll check them if plugging the livewell drains at the back of the boat stops the leak. I too seldom use them but dont plug the front one because the boat rides better with water in the front
    one. Thank you!
