i pulled the boat out of storage and while cleaning, I noticed where the exhaust comes out through the prop, it is really black. should it be like that???

if not what would that be a sign of?

not too bad. we'll see if the plugs last more than 50 hrs. this year with the updates performed last year.

    Re: exhaust question (hoss15)

Right now (last 30 hrs) my 225HO is running as clean as a whistle, doubt you could get any soot with a white cloth. Now the Power head before was black as candle soot, it was replaced because the mechanic found loose crankcase bolts, it never let me down. It was running rich they said because it was sucking air and the computer was trying to compensate. There may also be some new mapping of the computer that would help.
