    186 vs 195

I have been searching for late 90 model 195 TF for almost a month with no luck. Either too late or trashed. I have found a 186 in beautiful condition. I know they are only 1' difference in length, but can anybody tell me how different the ride is? I really wanted a 19 1/2 or longer DC, but thinking about giving in on this 186. Help!!!

I had a 1994 186 for a couple of years and the ride was great. I have a 496 now and the ride in that is great too. I think it all boils down to how you drive your boat. Sure the bigger boats handle the rough stuff better don't get me wrong...but I think with either one you choose you will like. I know thats not the answer you were looking for but you could look at it this way the 195 has more storage and fishing with a partner you won't feel like your right on top of each other. I hope this helps a little.

    Re: 186 vs 195 (lakefolk)

Thanks, I've checked on all those.
    1. Listed back in the Fall of 09 and I'm trying to keep it under 10K.
    2. Planned on checking that one out tommorrow on our way home from springbreak and it sold Monday.
    3. Sold before I could find the time to drive 18hrs.
    4. Not in the best of shape and preferrably looking for a DC.
    5. Saw that one yesterday, but 6K for a 1990 is not worth driving that far.

**I do appreciate the search though.
