So when i have my HDS5 on and i turn on a pump or start the motor it will restart? What could be the cause of this and how can i fix it? The crazy thing is it doesnt always do this.

I had the same problem last year. Turned out it was a bad power rocker switch, when I would turn on my pump or aerator it caused enoungh jump in the circuit to shut my graphs off. I replaced the rocker switch and haven't had any problems since...
HDS units shut off when the voltage gets below 10 volts. I'm guessing the battery or charging system needs to be checked.![]()

Wire the unit directly to the battery: fixes 95% of them.

Yep - also use heavy gage wire![]()
I have the same problem with a 1999 203. I replaced the battery with a group 31 and that didnt fix it.You can have a pump or pumps that are drawing to much current and when it runs the voltage drops below ten volts and they shut off. You can direct wire the HDS units but then you always have to remember to shut them off. My plan is to wire in a relay so you can still shut the units off with the power switch that way the relay can supply a direct power source.
