    My First Champion

Hello, My son and i have been fishing tournaments out here in Vegas from a Sea-Ray 180. Well fishing from a family boat don't work. So i bought a 1993 Champion 20'3" (203?) with a 200 mercury xri. Never owned a bass boat before let alone something that will go faster than 40mph. Any opinions or suggestions as to what octane fuel, oil and other additives i should use as well as maintenance would be much appreciated.

Congrats on joining the Champ family. You will enjoy it. I would post that on the Mercury forum. Gentleman over there name Don at European Marine is a genius on Merc's and one of the most helpful gentleman on BBC.

Re: My First Champion (paul holt)

Welcome to the family!!!! A 20' Champion is a great acquisition. For your first bass boat, you went right to the top!!!

    In 1993, there was a 204 and a 201. No 203s until 1998.
