Carpet stains from Smelly Jelly, fish attractant gel

We have a couple of carpet stains from Smelly Jelly, a fish attractant, where my husband stows his rods on the deck with a saturated worm on the end of it. Someone suggested Carbosol but I can't find it at Home Depot or the auto parts store. I don't want to mess up the carpet, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Goop Hand Cleaner or orange hand cleaner from Dollar General has worked for me.

I have used a combination of warm water and simple green and a scrub brush, it took it out nice the problem was it made that spot so clean looking it made the rest of the deck look like crap so I have to do the whole boat. The best at getting stains out is Rug Doctor stain remover, that stuff is good.
