2001 196 Question on Removeable Console

Hi All--

Still looking for a 196. I see the one just posted here list a removeable console but the boat is an 01--am I wrong, was this available in 01, or is that aftermarket?. This boat has been on craigslist for a while at a higher price. Was just wondering about the console----still to high for my blood. For an 01 that is.

I have an 01 196 dual console and it is not removable.

Apparently it is aftermarket. The factory set up, removable consoles were not made until the 08 or 09 Elites (I forget which).

If it was shipped loose or purchased as a single console , they may have installed it to be removeable. I bought an 01-196 single console and bought the passenger side from C&O and made it removeable. Although I have never taken it out !!!!!!!
