    210/225 etec ho numbers

Looking at getting in a 210 with a 225 etec ho. What kind of numbers can I expect out of this rig?

Gonna guess 65-68. 250's seem to be getting 72-75 and 300's are pushing 80 for those that know how to drive them. :(

Yeah, I was thinking it was a little underpowered, but that's ok. I'm a little concerned about holeshot, thinking I may have to prop it small to get out of hole an give up some on the top end

You may be suprised what the 225 H.O. will do on that boat. 3.3 litres with more than 225 horsepower! Test drive will answer your questions. Good luck, hopefull y someone has run this setup and will be along to speak of it.

From the looks of James' cowl it appears to be a DFI HO and not an E-tec.

Re: 210/225 etec ho numbers (Sports1)

Mine is a DI motor not an Etec. My 198 runs 70-72 loaded with 75 being the fastest I ever had it (light). The 210 should run well with the 225 Etec HO, only problem is the added storage capacity of the center storage compartment can cause you to add many, many lbs. of tackle which will hurt the top end.
