    At deer camp limited service

At deer camp with very limited service but still checking in when I can. Killed a nice 8 point opening day. Pops killed a big doe. Any Champers get anything yet?

I harvested a nice 8pt who went about 200, his tines were all busted up. Our population is down this yr. and not many people got doe tags.

I got home from Idaho the end of Oct. For our camp we had 3 Mulies and 2 Bulls. The Mule Deer were all three 5 point western count, the Elk were both 6x6 with one that will score over 350". My Daughter had the best mulie with a very nice 25" 5x5 very heavy horned buck. She glassed it on a bare ridge at close to 8k feet elevation and watched it bed under the only tree on the ridge. Snuck in on it from over 700 yards to kill it in its bed at 25 yrds!
I spent 2 1/2 weeks in the wall tent with what turned out to be Bronchial Pnuemonia! I lost 14lbs and never left the tent, told my wife to haul me down the road to where we had to dump a dead mule a few years ago and leave me with the mule!

If your talking mine - Not what I wanted but after 10 days I hate eating tags... I had 4 studs last year and was getting close but then the farm to my east killed 6 big bucks of which im sure were the ones I was watching. Here is one of them that went nocturnal on us from to much pressure on that farm. I use to kill a lot of nice ones but with all the folks crowding and gun hunters and poaching its getting harder and harder.
