What wax is everybody using on your Boat

I want to get a good wax job on the boat this week and want to know what everybody is using. Are their any suggestions on what works the best? Also are you guys doing the standard wax on, wax off hand application or is their a better method that goes a better job? Also how much of the boat are you guys waxing? I have heard before that you should not get under the boat and wax because that can cause some performance issues. Are you only waxing the top cap, insides, and sides? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The not waxing under the hull is for high-perf boats who want to run 80+ basically. It would make little to no diff for our rigs.

I use Pro-tec products a couple times a year (easy on, easy off), with BBS after every trip. The Pro-tec sealant is really good!!!!! Many years ago, the factory told me to never use silicone based products as they permeate the clear, etc and can cause issues, esp if glass repairs are needed.

I use Nu-Finish, the stuff in the orange bottle twice a year. Used it for years and the fiberglass always is in showroom condition.

The best stuff i've ever seen. I wipe mine down every other time. It's very easy to use and people are amazed when they see what it does.

Once in a blue moon I'll actually wax the top cap and sides. 99.9% of the time it gets a bath and BBS when it comes off the water with a micro fiber cloth.

I used to use Pledge furniture spray wax, but now am using Lucas Quick Mist wax. Goes on quick, wipe, and let it dry. Wipe the hull when it comes off the lake.

Well I ordered the Meguires Marine Wax and the BBS. I hope to have it by this weekend so I can give the boat a good wax job and take the boat for a spin to try the BBS. I will let everybody know how I turn out.

I hate to disagree being a newbie but I think you guys using Pledge are making a huge mistake. I know it looks like it's working but I don't think you're doing your gel any favors. JMHO

According to what the Champion factory told me years ago, you are correct. They said to NEVER use Pledge or other products like it.
