Headed up to Door County WI next week

Me and my grandson are after smallies yet again, the Champ handles the water without a problem.

Now grand dads guide service must produce: The pressure of being a fishing grand dad is on my back.

Lucky to have a go-cart track, mini golf and batting cages close by if the fishing is slow.

The hotel has a swimming pool, and I told my grandson to bring both baseball mitts and a ball along.

I will post some fish pictures upon my return.

If it's calm I am going to give him the helm as well.

The fishing is never slow this time of year. Good luck, have fun, and be safe.

I'm up there right now. Fishing is a bit slow but we are finding them on beds still. Got several on cranks too. Bandits in junebug, or fire tiger, and craw. Perfect weather tonight the bay was almost glass, got the wife out for awhile and she really enjoyed it. Right now most of the fish were caught on the Flats in 4 to 5 feet of water, today temp was up to mid 60's so it's got em moving. Found huge packs swimming around but couldn't get them to bite. Lots of guys trolling too, but we don't get into that. Sands has some fish in it too, little sturgeon not so much. Good luck!

If the wind is down and fishing is a little slow around Little Sturgeon and the Bay head north up the finger. Egg Harbor, has a nice cove with good fish in it. The water is a little colder the farther you go up and fish are in more of a biting mood rather than a spawning mood. Be safe and have fun.

Just talked to my brother in law who is still up there. The flats seem to be picking up quite a bit, cranks and bed fishing. They boated about 40 fish last night between him and his two boys. Biggest was 4.5 lbs and he said they had a lot of high 3's as well. It may be a good place to look since you could be throwing cranks and still be picking up quality fish. Good luck to you!
