Keel shield

Hey everyone, have any of you ever installed a keel shield on ur Champ before,I should have it tonight when I get home and I havent ever installed one before and wanted some info on how not to screw it up lol

Surface prep and following instructions is critical with the peel n stick keel guards. Wax and polish residue will kill it, so be extra careful...

Yep, Put one on about 4 yrs ago now.. Still looks the same as when I installed it. Follow the directions. Tape off your area, scratch it up with little scotch brite pad thats included. If you think you're scratched up enough, do it again.

My advise is 4 or 6 hands are better than 2. Take your time and get it straight the first time, and really apply pressure to all edges. After its on, I went ahead and used a bead of clear silicon along the edges.

I have the navy blue and really looks good on my hull.

Thanks Guys,I am going to wait till it gets warmer first, its 45 degrees here in Colorado, Hopfully Saturday will be in the high 70's
