Powerpole in rock??

I fish alot of wingdams and current seams that are filled with rock structure on the rivers. Can a powerpole be used in this type of bottom structure or will it just damage the pole? I would love to be able to use something like this on wingdams in the heavy current. Having to stay on the trolling motor 100% of the time to keep boat position make it hard sometimes.

Yes a power pole will work in rock areas. I use mine on Sturgeon bay to hold the boat off of rock bars that I am catching smallies off of. The spike is virtually impossible to break, and is covered by a lifetime warranty.

Thanks Butch for the reply. That looks like exactly what I need. Do you mount them to the transom or do they bolt onto your jack plate? Can you install them yourself?

Yes you can install it yourself it is really easy. I did mine in my garage in just a few hours. Mine is mounted with a bracket off of the slidemaster JP. If you want the link to my install just IM me.

I am going with a minn kota talon, I like the verticile deploy and no pumps or fluid and can be taken off easily when you are not going to use it. Cost is about the same and same warranty on the spike
