Can anyone tell me how to get to the bilge pump on a 1992 Champion Bass Boat?
Is it located under the fuel tank and if it is do I have to remove the fuel tank?

If it is like my 89, there is a T shaped platform that the oil tank and batteries are attached too. If that is how yours is then you can take out the oil tank and batteries and remove the T and get to it that way. If not then you will have to remove the gas tank.
Thanks RipNLips
I"ll take them out tomorrow and see. I didn't want to take all that out without having some idea.
Make sure your gas tank is low. I've had to pull and pry like a son of a gun to get that T shaped lid out. Mine is just a little slightly wedged under the gas tank. With a full tank, the weight would be too much to pull it out. Good luck. If your down there, change all three pumps (Bildge, Hydro, and Aero for livewell). If ya don't, next year you'll be down in the bildge again. Don't ask me how I know![]()

Bilge on my 90 is under the fuel tank. Removal of tank is a must on my boat, there is a section of carpeted, gray gelled plywood that just lifts up to access pump after tank is removed. Oil tank did not have to be removed on my boat. Oil tank is removed now because it is premix after the meltdown! Good luck!
I have a 1991 184DCR with the UShaped large Fuel tank and you just have to remove the batteries and probably the oil tank depending on where it is at and pull up on the "T shaped fiberglassed cover. You should see a little tab near the fuel tank that you can use to pull it up. I did have to remove the fuel filler hose to get the cover out of there which was a pain but doable. I am not sure what model you have but the 91's and 92's are pretty much the same.
