    Ideas for mounting electronics

I am considering some new electroncis at the console on my 94' 186dcx. currently it just has the circular lowrance flasher on the dash. There does not appear to be a lot of room at the dash for new equipment. I am looking to get a 798 or 998. The only place that I see to mount it would be to the right of the console on the top cap. Does anyone have another location where they have mounted electronics on a similar model boat?

thanks for any advice. Pics would be great as well.

Look in the electronics section at all the install photos... I have the same dash, gps/finder currently on the top cap... I don't find it there, but have seen photos of ram mounts right below that flasher... Your Boat, Your call!!

Thanks for the heads up....After all the time I have spent here the last 6 months I thought I knew where all the information was located. Hadn't looked there yet....Dude!! This site is awesome.

    Thanks again.

I hope that bird is on demo mode or you have some serious problems with your garage floor.

    Nice install!

Champ24. Thanks for those pics. That is probably what I will end up doing but had considered mounting it on the left side of the drivers console that way I could spin it around and view it a little better when up front. Just concerned about clogging up the middle area as it is tight already( dual console).

Just bought a used 798 off the boards here. Also would love to see pic of how that si transducer is mounted on a champ if anyone has one.

    Thanks for all your help.
