2007 200 elite center storage compartment

    Hi all,
Was wondering if the center storage compartment on a 200 elite is supposed to have a tackle organizer in it. It is a big deep box.....appears to have a built-in ledge to support a platform and separate it into an upper and lower level. Where can I locate one? What ideas have others come up with? Also anyone know what the largest Lowrance HD unit can be installed in the bow console?
    Thanks,
    Bob

I bought my 08 new and it has the big deep center box with the ledge but didn't come with any factory organizer. I got some plastic file sorters from office max and put in the bottom. Holds plano boxes pretty well. Check out the tips and tricks forum on here for details.

I believe a 5" is the max size, many use a Ram to go bigger.

I have a Champ 198. For the main front hatch I just got one these setups called an "Organized Fishing Utility Box Wall Rack" and laid it down in there. Works real nice. I can take it out if I want, no real need to screw it in place.

Here's a link. Mods, remove link if not appropriate

3700 series boxes fit in there perfect

as far as the bow unit...yea a 5" is as big as you can go wihtout cutting. RAM mount is the way to go if you want to go bigger

I also have a 2007 Champion 200 Elite, bought from CANDO Marine. I bought a rod box organizer from David Buttrey (C&O), with Champion boxes. ALso, the 7" HDS will fit in the console, by slightly trimming the mounting flange.

    Re: (Lea)

Here's what I did to my front stroage compartment in my 183.

I found these at Offcie Depot.
They are nice, because they keep every box in their place when getting one out, not like when you just put the boxes in without this, where the boxes fall once a box is taken out.

I like that. Way to be creative. Looks like a good system.
