    Head for 235 Evinrude or cross refeerence to same head

    I'm looking for OMC part #325639 which is the starboard head to a 81 235 or if anyone knows what other part numbers will cross reference

    Unfortunatly there are no other heads that will cross reference and it gets worse. If those heads were the ones that came stock on an 81 235 then they are different than the later heads with the exact same part numbers that came on the 2.6GT/XP's . You will either have to use a set of heads from a later 235 or from a 1986-90 175. You are going to lose a good bit of compression. The other alternative would be to use a set of heads from a GT/XP150 and have them clearenced to fit and shaved. This will get back the compression you are losing.

    You can try calling some marine salvage yards to see if they have a matched set of 325638/639's
