    OMC trolling motor

First off, kudos to my OMC trolling motor!!! ~500 hours on the main engine, no telling how many on the trolling motor.....in the thousands for sure. It's lost the seal, and from what I can tell it's been leaking saltwater into the motor for awhile. (Amazing it was even operating) Is there a seal/rebuild kit I can obtain? When I realized it had trouble, the shaft came out about an inch or so longer than normal. I can get it to operate, but once it's submersed it quits. Thanks for any and all help.

See if the model number tag is still on the pedal, left side, so we can better answer your question.

Great to hear from you too.

The model number of a 1974-1997 OMC Evinrude or Johnson trolling motor will start with a letter.

After 1997 is where Minn-Kota built (just a decal) motors started.
