Carpet Trim Mystery Update Mtn. Home Style (Pic Heavy)

Ok I called Pops last night and got the skinny on the carpet trim mystery. He said he couldnt remember who the manufaturer was BUT they bought it from a distributor named:

    Benrock Inc.
    6900 Alcoa Rd
    Benton Ark. 72015
    Phone 501-778-2002
    Fax 501-778-3438
(I googled it and sure enough thats it)

It was sold in 12 foot rolls in a card board tube and Champ cut to fit for each rig.

Now the bad news. I tried to call Benrock by phone and fax. The phone just rang and the fax advised it was disconected. I knew the area codes had changed a few years ago so I double checked that with no joy. I then called information and they advised they couldnt find it in the directory. Hopefully someone else can put another piece to the puzzle. Maybe they changed names or went out of business.

Anyhow, below are picks of my Mtn. Home 1996, 202 carpet trim, I hope this helps out. It sure looks similar to what Legend is using.

Good detective work!! Sad that it appears to be no longer available. It is similar to Legend, but not the same. The last Legend I saw had the aluminum riveted to deck instead of the gunnels. More like the shape of our newer boats with the black trim.

I was just really impressed with the finish work on the Mtn Home trim. Especially the turns and ends.

Me too! I knew nothing about Champs when I first saw mine, but I saw craftsmanship that I had not seen before and that's what made me buy it. Now I'm a quality snob like all you Champ rascals.

Thanks for the pic. Hard to tell if it is the same or not. The Champ trim was flat. I cannot tell from the photo. In one, it appears to be the same shape as the Champ black trim, although I can see it is riveted to the sides, vice the deck. Will certainly recheck at the boat shows...

    Thanks!!!!
