    Setup assistance

So I have had a chance to run the new rig, and here's where I'm at:

2 people (I always run 2 people), full gear, half live wells, 1/3 tank of fuel. 5200@56 mph GPS. No bow lift to speak of. Raker II 24" set at 2.75 below pad. This is the setup the dealer normally does but it seems to have a LOT of stern lift, as when I back out of it a bit, the bow comes up a tad..

I'm thinking it needs a prop that provides better bow lift than the Raker II. Perhaps a TXP 23, Tempest 23 or a Renegade 23 and set the plate at about 3 or 3.25 below pad. Gots to get the rpm's up and spin this thing closer to 5800.

Am I on the right track here?

BTW, got into some 2 footers on Saturday, and the Champ ride is no exageration! SMOOOOTH!

Pat and the other 183 owners will be along and get you set up.

I run a 23 tempest worked by Mark at 3.5 below pad, runs sweet.

Drop your motor to 3 1/2" that should take care of it, if you still get the raker "popup" when you back off a little, send it to mark the prop dude here, they can cure that quick.

I was running a 24 raker II on my 07 183 and had the same numbers , I dropped down to a 22 and my rpm went to 5700 , great hole shot , good lift , nice ride till it gets to 60.7 and gets a little loose . It is a 150 e-tec ho , and I was by myself 3/4 tank of gas . I am around 3 in below pad
