I have an 89 184 and it has a 32 gallon tank. Dont know if they used the same tanks or not.
I've read some info that said it could a a 40 gallon. I'm guessing 30-40 gallon but sure would like to know for sure. Thanx![]()

Brochure says 18 or 24 gal tanks, with options for 36 or 42 gals on 184 and 201 models.
On my 1990, the fuel capacity was on the top of the tank itself.
Im pretty sure its not an 18 or 24. Unless my gauge is off, it was on a 1/4 tank and I pumped out 10 gallons. I cant find a capacity on the tank anywhere. I was guessing around 20+ until I pumped out the fuel to replace my bilge pump. Not a big deal just curious. Thanx Lea![]()

I don't know of an accurate fuel gauge on any boats...![]()
Mine reads less than what I really have...others read high. Only way to tell for sure is drain tank completely and then fill completely.![]()

Fuel gauges are as worthless as speedometer in boats. I've never seen one accurate.

DJ, I have the fish-n-ski version of that boat (1985) and it has an 18 gal tank. Came with a plastic tank. It is such a tight fit I am not sure how they could put a larger version in there. I broke the Vent Line neck off several years and had to have an aluminum tank specially built to the same dimensions as the original so I could get it in and out. Good light boat (quick) with a really good ride for a short hull.
My 90 176 had a 24 gal. I also wouldn't trust a fuel gauge as far as you could chunk it ... floats get fuel soaked, rods get bent, etc.

My 1990 176 F&S had a 24 gal tank. There were so many different sizes back then....

Fish-n-ski would have cushions on the front of the consoles and rod box lids
My 88 201 has a 18...............thats like a little gulp to a thirsty 225![]()

OK thanx. I do NOT have the fish/ski model but I do have a 150hp so I plan on doing some tubing. Should be fine.Fish-n-ski would have cushions on the front of the consoles and rod box lids![]()

You may find your fuel capacity by dividing your cubic inches (lengthxwidthxheight) by 231

my 87 17.6 fish&ski had a 24.. there is usually a label on the tank
the options at the time were one 18 , 0r two 18's =36 total
Or one 24 , or two 24's= 48
there is enough room to put two tanks in front to rear ..
