Finally...my new RIDE!

Well, after waiting many many years, I am finally a ChampioN owner. Picked her up last Friday, drug her home in the rain and finally got her washed up yesterday. It is a 2008-188 with a 200 Yamaha VMAX HPDI. This thing flys! I can't say enough about the fit and finish of this boat. It is immaculate. The rod lockers and center storage area is HUGE! I just bought one of the new Quantum Tour KVD Launcher Rods (7'10") and it fit into the rod box with ease. I took the Moosehead rod rack out and am using Stick Jackets to keep the rods from tangling. Here are some pics! I am glad to finally be part of the family!

Very nice, after you break the engine in start raising it on the plate. There will be less chine walk and you will turn the T1 prop better Congrats

Thanks for the compliments. I have the windshields, but took them off. I found myself leaning on them alot when getting back into the drivers seat, so I figured I would take them off before I broke them! I am running a Yamaha 23M Prop. I think I will need some more prop, but it runs really good right now. I have heard that the Yamaha 25T-1 or a 25 Tempest is the way to go. Does anyone have experience with either of these on this setup? She does get a little squirrely when she is opened up and trimmed up. I need to get a water pressure gauge installed before I go messing around with it. The boat is used, but only has 30 hours on it. I haven't checked the prop to pad height, but I think she is already pretty high. I had some problems with it blowing out during high speed cornering. If I can ever get a free weekend when I am not fishing a tournament, I will try to get her dialed in just right.
