What is Skeet running this year? Will he be in his last years boat or did he get another?

I don't know. I hope he will be in his Champ. I know Mike McClelland will be in his Champion... Probably Jason Quinn, too...
I am not that up to date on what the Elites do, but I thought Quinn ran a Procraft... did he switch over?

Jason has been running a Champion for at least the last year. I forget exactly when he switched. Might have been year before last...
He ran a Nitro after the Procraft....
I think this will be the 3rd in a Champ year for Jason ... If you watch The Bass Pros, they'll always have any ChampioN decal or logo blurred out when he has a segment on the show.

Quinn inks with Triton Boats...
2/4/2010 10:46:47 AM Wired and Elite Series pro Jason Quinn has signed a new deal with Triton Boats for 2010. "I am a last minute kind of a guy. Last minute to get into the Classic and last minute to get a boat deal inked before the Classic. I have run Tritons before in Elites for the Top 12's and like their durability and ride. I really like that Triton and Mercury are committed to fishing as well" said Quinn.
"I have had a Mercury since I was 14 and its all in the family now. This is a great group of guys and its great that Triton and Mercury has a support trailer at all the events. I will not have to worry about my boat and motor again" added Quinn.
Quinn also will be moving over to Abu Garcia, from Pflueger/All Star, this year as well. He will be using Abu Garcia rods and reels. Abu Garcia, Pflueger and All Star are all Pure Fishing Companies.
I am sure he was tired of waiting to see what was going happen. Skeet and Mike have been very dedicated to Champion, and I think if we see either one of them jump ships we will know what the new outcome is going to be for Champion.
take a look at Skeet's web site he's good about keeping it up to date
Skeet doesnt show Champion as one of his sponsors. Did I miss it?
Allison XB21 2+2, Merc 250 ProXS, 1.62 Sportmaster, Hydromotive Engineering X-OB 29
Excel 1751 Viper F4, Tohatsu 50 4-stroke, EZ-Trac trailer

You are righ Duane They are not showing Champ as a sponsor![]()
That isn't good.....if he does go to a different boat where do you think he'll end up? My guess.....Basscat

You are so right.![]()
I checked too. The only thing that says "Champion" are the pictures of his boat or him with his Jersey on. Champ has been taken off all the sponsor links/testimonies.
I could see him going to BassCat before Triton![]()
I also heard that the Champion Sales Rep over in MO, AR, KS etc., just went to work for Phoenix this week.
I've ran a new 721 Phoenix pretty hard. They are on to something with that boat. You can see my review on the Phoenix board.
Hackney left Triton and signed with Phoenix. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one more big name go with them. I don't think they will do any large scale sponsorship like Triton, Ranger, etc, but I can see them adding one more. Of course, I'm available if they'd like to add me also.![]()

There are more people looking at PHOENIX---as they are now the official boat sponser of the PAA.
Well Damn - I guess there's not a lot (if anything) any one of us can do about all this, but (as of 1/29 at least) 'ol Mike McClelland said this about that:
http://wired2fish.com/WhatsUp.aspx?ArticleID=3131
"We just spoke to Wired angler Mike McClelland and he said there have been several rumors that he had inked a new boat deal with another company. That is not the case and he will be running Champion at this years Bassmaster Classic."
"Depending on the outcome of the Platinum Equity purchase could determine if a change is in the offing but Mike assured us his first choice is Champion and he loyal to that brand. McClelland has been with Champion a majority of his career and has even been a rep for them."
On the other hand the Stratos loyal are excited that their web-site has been updated announcing a new 2010 2-X contingency reward program effective 2/1 etc...
Not a confirmed word about ChamP anywhere that I can find![]()
