Where is the pump located for the pump out feature on a 2000 223? I know it has to be behind the fuel tank but want to be sure. how hard is it to remove a 48 gallon tank? Am I looking at a major time project? Went to use it yesterday and nothing so I figure I have to change the cartridge.

If the pumpout is a position on the drain knob, then the recirc pump is also the pumpout. It will be on the rear of the livewell.
the pump out has it's own switch on the side console under the shifter, and the outlet hose runs into the wire feed tube on the starboard side away from the stern.
