    On board Charger

I am going to a 36 volt system and my dual pro charger will be coming out

What brand of 4 bank charger would everyone suggest?

    Thanks

If you don't go with Dual Pro 4 bank, Guest is a BBC sponsor...

I have heard that charging at a rate of more than 10 amps is hard on the batteries and will shorten their life. Just something to look into.

go to the pro mariner web site and see the 300 quad it gives you the specs and charging rate and all the things it does. good luck with your choice, I like this one because it is lightweight and thin/slim design allowing you to mount anywhere. Most other 4 banks are twice the weight and are bulky.

Its looking like the pro mariner

Can it be installed on the flat, or does it have to be mounted on a side wall??

Without reading their installation instructions, I don't see any issue right off that would keep you from mounting it flat. However, my electronics background tells me that a vertical mount will probably aid in heat dissipation.

    Re: On board Charger (BlackChamp)

My 3 bank was not working so I took it apart and found it has seperate fuses for each bank. It wont hurt to open it up before you you trash it out,you just might get lucky,a couple of bucks is better than a couple hundred there slow blow auto fuses, Good luck
