took the champ out for some fun fishing turned my head to see the rooster tail fireing out at about a 45 degree angle to the right. didn't change the ride any still smooth as glass but i'm confused as to why its doing it any ideas?

Do you have a transducer mounted to the transom that could be deflecting the spray?

or a boarding ladder flipped down?
neither of the above actually i do have a boarding ladder but its in the up possition and has never effected it before
Is this the first time it happened, or just the first time you may have noticed it?
first its happened i had her dialed in great before i took her in so i looked quite often .....champion man are you asking me to check if the motor is cocked or something else on the boat?

Took her in? Took her in where????
Are your numbers the same now as they were before you "took her in"?
this is the 206 thats been in for warranty all year and know haven't lost anything notable just 1 mph and that can be attributed to anything (on erie) so i don't think i lost anything it actually handled much better!
Is that funny tail after you've held it down a while? I've seen them act funny until you're strung out.
Then again, if the boat is running right, acting right, it's nothing to concern, pretty is as pretty does.

the funny tail is there as soon as i get on plane and still there at WOT ...and it looks strange but haven't been to worried as you said as long as its handling right just trying to figure it outoh and the motor apears to be straight
