Generally wisdom is you do not want to lug a 2 stroke. So you want to prop as close to max rpms at wot as possible. The new dfi engines really need this to be so. You might go the same speed but actually do more harm to your engine if over propped. Thats the way I understand it anyway.

Lugging a 2-stroke leads to metal parts on the inside of the motor somehow ending up on the outside of the motor...![]()
