    95 202 w 200 Merc EFI prop question

I have a 1995 202 F/S with a Merc 200 EFI that came with a High Five prop. I'm assuming that's part of the fish/ski package for pulling skiers. It seams to cavitate/slip a bit right before getting on plane. I can back off the throttle a tad and start to trim up and it will catch again. Any thoughts?

The ONLY thing that prop is good for is pulling your lard assed brother in law up on a ski with.

25 Tempest (unless you are at altitude) will be the proper prop, let us know everything else (jack plate, etc) that you've got.

No jackplate (yet), and no lard ass brother in law either so I can dump the High Five (although maybe I should store it just in case my sister marries one :-). I don't tournament fish (yet) so rarely have the livewell full and usually only use one of the gas tanks. I do fish with three people a lot though. Any thoughts?

Thoughts....wow that's a scary image coming from me...

If I wanted to optimize your rig, it would be:
    6" rapid jack plate
    25 Tempest plus.
Propshaft at 3 1/2" under pad.

Should be mid sixties at 5,700 rpms with all around performance very good. It won't be a speed demon with that 2.5 motor but it should be much better than what you've got.
