Looking for a hydraulic Champion pedastal and butt seat

Looking for a butt seat and a hydraulic pedestal like the topic says. Dark grey with letters, hopefully. If anyone has either or both they dont use please let me know. I cant see spending what the dealers are asking for.

Lea, I hope this is ok in here, trying to catch someone with our brand that may have what I am looking for.

    thanks,
    Brad

Re: Looking for a hydraulic Champion pedastal and butt seat (Skip)

C&O is who I normally do business with. I sent an email to the parts email address on the website this morning before I posted but havent heard anything back...

Could you help me with that Todd?

I was also hoping someone might having one collecting dust so I could save a few bucks, but I imagine most hang onto Champion stuff with a tight grip.

    thanks,

    bk

I had the two originals that came with my boat....he wanted two .....I sold two....

I tried that standing up stuff when I first got the boat, but got a back ache I didn't want to talk about.....these old knees need to sit when I'm fishing...

Re: Looking for a hydraulic Champion pedastal and butt seat (oldsailor)

I kinda need to do the same thing as BornForIt. My original front butt seat is showing some wear but I don't know if replacing it is needed or if somebody can recover it for me. I'd like it to look like OEM stuff. Plus the back seat is okay - but again, I'd kinda like to replace it with a butt seat too.

The front power pedestal is shot too so that definitely needs replacing but apparently you can't get OEM black pedestals now? So - will standard 1.77" inserts work okay?

My original posts are super hard to get in and out. I DID get them out but not without scratching them using a big red pipe wrench and crowbars.... Grrr....

I guess they'll take my CHAMP card away from me if I don't go back in with CHAMP seats...

RiverRat....if you take your pedestals out when you get home each trip, you won't have any problems...

Re: Looking for a hydraulic Champion pedastal and butt seat (ILRiverRat)

Part of the problem with the original posts fitting right is the paint - the entire post was painted. I took superfine grit paper and sanded all of the paint off all the way around the bottom of the post (just where it fits in the hole). I also ran around the inside of the deck plate to smooth it and take paint, etc., off. My wife was able to pull the seat up without any trouble after that. I didn't get to do the second one before they were sold....but it's a fix! The new ones fit just as tight, but I think it's probably a clear coat on the post - I'll be working on both of them here shortly. Of course, if one were really looking for originality, they could paint the new ones black....
