    Optimax Water Drainage?

    2008 Optimax 200
    1B544641

Just started up the motor on the muffs for the first time after a loooooong coooold winter. Probably a silly question but for the life of me I can not remember if water normally drains from the location below. During the winterization process I installed a new lower unit/water pump and didn't take the boat out after. I must have had some freezing in the water line to my water pressure guage as it initially popped off or had fallen off and was leaking under the console with the gauge being pinned to max motor on or off. I reattatched the hose and it's not leaking and I didn't see any signs of the hose leaking anywhere else motor side. Just curious if this is a normal place to see water coming out of when idleing with water muffs on, it comes out both sides. Pee stream is strong.

While it's normal to see water coming out around the side mount covers.

HOWEVER- it is NOT normal to see four (4) streams of water spraying out of the NOSE of the gearcase (because THOSE SHOULD BE COVERED when attempting to run the engine on a flush attachment).
