ETEC ENGINE GURU'S, PROP HUB EXHAUST SIZE QUESTION????

I have an older OMC Raker to try on my ETEC 225 HO, noticed that the hub is larger in diamter than the Raker II, do you think this will hurt engine performace with regard to higher exhaust backpressure or possible increase in exhaust and engine temperature?

I ran an old-style 28 Raker (not Raker II) on my 2005 200 Pro w/ 225 H.O. E-TEC. It ran great and I didn't have any issues with it. It was a used prop when I got it.

21ZRod, the ol Garfish is learning some stuff about these HO,s, I have a 2004 @225 HO not a etec but none the less one of these motors with the afterburner mine eats rubber hubs up in small hub props. I'm talking with Mark and he is shedding some light on the matter for me and you might as well copy the mail, I do believe he is dead center. Quite frankly if BRP had any thing like opensea exhaust like Merc used to have I might consider that only the noise would be deafning, Garfish.
