    74.47

Took the 202 out this am to let it unwind. Turning 27 tempest to 5700 rpms got it to 74.47 mph gps. Almost no chine walk even at those speeds. Engine is a stock 225 optimax on 10 inch plate about 3 inches from bottom of pad. I know the guys that drive the strokers and bullets etc go faster but that is plenty fast with no brakes

Wow. That sounds like an unbeatable combo. Maybe I should buy that 202 that's for sale without the motor on this site.

That boat ran 76-77 with a XB on the back GPS. I wish he was not selling it.

Wow, was the XB a 250. What prop was he turning with those numbers? I hit the 74.47 running solo fairly light. With a partner and tournament load I run 70-71.
