Hot foot and Pro trim install on a 2007 183CX need some pointers?

I want to install these and looking for some advice and part numbers. I did dig through a few old posts for reference. First: Got and tips on pulling the steering wheel? Throttle cable P/N with and extra 2 feet over the stock? The specifics are: 07 183CX/mercury 150 Opti (Serial tags shows 2006 production). Color codes on tip on the Pro trim wiring? I wish to install this stuff right before the boat goes into storage roughly Oct-Dec.

Can't help on the throttle cable P/N but you should have a P/N on the side of your existing cable. On your HF put a piece of masking tape about an inch from the tip end of your drill bit. This will give you a stopping mark and not an Uh-Oh mark. When you set your pedal come off the side of the hull about 3-4" toward the center of the boat.
On the wheel remove the center cap and then the 3/4" locking nut and using your knees on either side of the wheel press the wheel towards you while pulling. You can also rent a steering wheel puller from a auto parts store.

On the trim universal wiring blue to blue, red to red, green to green. Use scotch connectors. Blue is up, green down. Or Blue sky, green grass. Have fun!!

With the Pro Trim you can tap the trim gage wires.I had the dealer install the hot foot.More for piece of mind than anything.

Thanks guys! I did take a look at the steering wheel and I have a steering wheel puller but there are no holes to thread the puller bolts into. Looks like the use your knee trick will be the only way. A big thank you for the tip on tapping into the trim gauge, that will be a big time saver.

    Thanks

Here's the link to my Hot Foot install a while back... biggest issue on the Hot Foot was running the new (longer cable) through the rigging tube... tight fit in there on my boat anyway... The pro trim was easy & just tapped into the trim wires behind the control box... http://www.bbcboards.net...31200

Gunnar I know what you mean (Rigging tube) I added an inductive hour meter and pulling a single wire through the rigging tube was fun.

What helps is: Fichtape, and electrical wiring lube.
