    Changing from yammie to Rude

Already asked on the general boards, was suggested to post here. They said something about experts here???? I am going back to Rude, currently have a Yamaha. I know the shifter and cable, hot foot throttle cable and also know I need the system check gauge. I get the wiring harness with the Ficht 225. How many of my gauges will need to be changed? What else?? Thanks in advance

I changed from a Yammie to an E-tec. They had to change the shift lever, wiring harness, and Tach, Speed, and trim gauage. I kept the water pressure. I am so satisfied with my E-tec. Hope you are also.

Re: Changing from yammie to Rude (EtecRanger 205)

Had Rudes for about 20 years, bought this boat with the Yamaha. Seems like a good engine, no operating complaints. Just want my blue motor again. Thanks for your reply.

If you are getting the ETEC, have you considered I Command guages. Lots of data out of one gauge and if you have NMEA backbone, easy to connect.
