Do you mean as opposed to only fore and aft wells? My 88 brochure shows a diagram with the rear wells as "new for 88", although it doesn't show any models with them.... I don't have an 89 brochure, but the 90 one shows models with rear wells and models with the fore & aft wells. Some models continued to have fore and aft wells for a year or 2, but they stopped that around early 90s.
My first boat was an 87 champ and it had one in the front and one in back.
Yep..as I mentioned, the 88 brochure says "new for 88..dual rear livewells"....
My 90 Super Champ 176 had front and rear, but non-Super Champ models had dual rear wells.
Newer Champs have one large well with a divider....

My 93 201 has one large livewell with divider & dual lids.

My 87 186 has the front and rear, my buddies 89 has a divided rear.

There was no 186 in 1987. There was however, a 184... a great rig!!!! One of the nimblest.....
The 186 was introduced in 1995....
Hey Lea, the 1987 champ I had said 17'6" on the title but did not say what model it was, I just always thought it was a 176, would that be right?
Yes...that would be right. That is the model. The models are called by numbers. 176 is 17'6". I had a great one from 1990...

Thanks guys! I found a 86 184 with a mariner 150 i am going to look at tomorrow, i was hoping that champion had started with the twin rear livewells then, but it don't sound like it. Are champions front livewells worth a darn i know my old 84 rangers front livewell was pretty sorry!
Most folks I know, have plugged them and use them for storage....
I have a 86' 184 F/S it has front and rear but they both work well after some tweaking.

my 84 201 has fron and rear livewells and the front sux. but if i ever catch a limit i will put the smaller fish up there
