my pumpout is not working on my boat. the motor makes noise and seems to have suction but it wont pump the water out. i wonder if the lines are clogged up or something. also, where do you get a new livewell open/close valve at?

didnt we go through this last year
check the lines to see if they are clogged....check the pump to see if its cloged or broke.....Valves you can get at any dealer

When mine did that it ended up being the vanes were actually not spinning on the motor shaft. I could hear the motor running, it would just push water to the pump out hole but no further. I had flushed out the system so I knew it wasn't clogged.
The fix was pull the tank (off to C&O for that one since I am an hour away), the pump on my 187 sat under the tank near the back of the livewell. New pump and it was back to wetting the dude that had the heavy bag at weigh in next to me.
Don't forget, that the pump out will NOT work if the drain valve is open.
i actually never knew that...that could be part of the problem

mine will work if the pump is on but it dont get no where near the pump out with the valve open
